The sixties –when the first cosmonauts travelled and man made his first steps on the moon. This strongly influenced industrial design. It was also a turning point for interior design as well. Designs turned from the cold and ascetic into more sophisticated, colorful and patterned; more sophisticated creations influenced by aeronautic technology appeared, becoming remarkable objects that followed the dynamic technological revolution. With this year’s Salone del Mobile stand, we wanted to recall this inspiring moment in the history of 20th century design.
