Tomasz Augustyniak

Interior designer and architect. Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań at the Faculty of Interior Architecture and Industrial Design, was granted the honours degree at the Product Interpretation Studio in 1993. He was the co-founder and member of the Start designers team (1994-1997). In 1996 – 2005 he collaborated with ABP Wzornik. He works as a designer for many companies. His works have been presented on many exhibitions in Poland and abroad, the most important include: Added Value 2nd Edition – IWP, EXPO 2010; Shanghai, ŁÓDŹ DESIGN FESTIVAL – Łódź; Faces of Polish Design, Narodni Galerie – Prague; Noti Colours, Metaforma - Cracow; Arena Design – Poznań; Design Mai - Berlin; Design PL – Warsaw; Polish Designers Fuori Salone - Milano; Made in Poland, Museum fur Angewandte - Frankfurt; Design on Tour – Warsaw; Emotion Hotel, HOST, held by Atelier Mendini – Milano. 

He has been awarded many prizes and commendations: Design of the Year 2010 IWP for the design of the sensory childrens furniture suite MEEE, Gold medal at the Poznań International Fair for the upholstered furniture suite Tukan, the Furniture Diamond prize for the office for furniture suite Tess, Elle Decoration Prize, Prodeco 2002 for the furniture suite Fado, produced by Comforty. He is the winner of many prizes awarded by the Institute of Industrial Design, including the Good Design prize for the following designs for Comforty: BOND, PORTO, CAFE, MINI MORS, SOPOT. In 2010 he received the prestigious Designer of the Year prize awarded by the Institute of Industrial Design in Warsaw.
